Vehicle History Reports

Whats the deal with these online history reports?

Lawsuits and complaints abound about what these companies have to offer. Don't be mislead into believing these reports are a cure all for finding damages, wrecks, flood damages etc.

It simply is not so...

They do have some value, and we do recommend using them, but only as 1 small step in your used car buying process.

These companies are dependent upon several organizations providing them the information needed, even when this info is reported there can be lengthy delays before it shows up in their data base.

Consider this scenario:

Joe Blow runs into a tree on his way home, he damages the front end it and the cost is over $4000.00 to repair.

He already has reported 3 other wrecks by his teenagers and doesn't want to report this one. His insurance rates are already sky high, and besides, if he reports it they may cancel his policy.

Mr Blow pays a body shop to repair his vehicle and now the only thing to face is the wrath from his teenagers.

So now--no one knows, the body shop certainly is not going to call anyone, not the dmv, police or his insurance company.

Ole Joe does'nt want to drive a car that has been wrecked, so he trades it in on another and guess what?

Along comes Mrs. Dimple, she likes the shiny flashy paint on Ole Joes Old car so much she buys it, without knowing that it's been wrecked. (She should have taken our course)

The salesman didn't know, Ole Joe didn't tell anyone, c fax doesn't even know, and months later the tires are worn out because the damage wasn't repaired correctly.

Too bad for Mrs. Dimple, she's now stuck with Ole Joe's Old wrecked car and now has to spend $1000's to get it repaired.

Rental agencies, fleets and other large companies may elect to reapir damages and not turn in to their insurance carriers, If they did their insurance premiums would hit the roof.

These types of vehicles are usally sold at auctions thru out the country, then purchased by dealerships and other used car sellers.

Then of course sold to unsuspecting consumers, leaving them with a wrecked vehicle that may have potential serious problems, let alone the value they paid for the car is significantly lower due to the damages.
